Zelia, Assistant Lettings Manager
I like to start my day off right at 8:30; with a coffee and a nice chit-chat with my colleagues before getting into my emails. Throughout the day we have many applicants who approach us about properties; after my emails I spend my mornings making calls to organise viewings that match the needs of our clients. Calls can also involve a quick talk with the landlords to ensure their needs are met by the agency too. In the afternoon it’s time to go on viewings; nothing makes me happier than seeing the smile on an applicant’s face when they’ve found their dream house to rent.
What I enjoy the most about my work is the scope and the opportunity to learn. It is an intensely people-focused industry, allowing me to meet and get to know many interesting people. Each viewing, offer and negotiation are different; my day is never the same and a new learning opportunity can be just around the corner. The height of success for me is to see a successful deal through, and open up an exciting new chapter in the lives of my clients and landlords.

Zelia Dupont
Andrina, Head of Property Management
I begin my day making a list of all the various activities to be completed for our Balham and City managed property portfolio, then I spend the first few hours liaising with tenants and landlords on tenancy renewals, and later in the day deal with the admin.
In this role being organised is vitally important as you’ll get frequent interruptions on issues that may require immediate attention – and building strong working relationships with your clients is key, ensuring you work through and agree actions together.
If you want to work in property management, I’d say you need to be a great communicator, a good time manager (as you’ll have to multi-task)…and it goes without saying – you must have plenty of common sense!
What I most enjoy is the team spirit here, where we bounce ideas off one another. And when I’m not in the office, I enjoy the social side at Atkinson Mcleod too.
